Lazy Paws Dog Ranch opened March 1, offering homestyle dog boarding and daycare with a living room and kitchen setting, according to owner Traci Smith, who previously offered in-home pet sitting services in The Woodlands since 2002. Smith said the new business, a service in conjunction with her nonprofit Grace & Hope for Paws Pet Rescue, is designed to keep stress levels low by allowing dogs to lounge on the sofa or by the fireplace to watch TV or take a break in their own private room. The owners live on-site at the 4-acre property in Montgomery at 14693 Austin Mccomb Road. 281-723-7859. www.gracehopepaws.org
