BeanPunk Coffee, formerly known as Conroe Coffee, announced via the business's Facebook page Nov. 26 that the shop will relocate from 206 N. Main St., Conroe, to another space in downtown Conroe in late December. According to the Nov. 26 Facebook post, BeanPunk Coffee's new Conroe location will be at 330 N. Main St., replacing the Red Onion Company on the Square restaurant.
Joey Ashton, owner of Red Onion Company on the Square, opened the restaurant in July 2017. As of press time Community Impact Newspaper has been unable to personally confirm the restaurant's closing; however, the restaurant's Facebook page and phone number have been disconnected.
In late October, BeanPunk Coffee owners Tracey and Jason Ohn announced they were rebranding Conroe Coffee to become BeanPunk Coffee: a shop featuring a mix of steampunk, Victorian and gothic themes.The Ohns also announced they would soon open a second location in historic downtown Montgomery and relocate the shop's current location to a new, undisclosed space in Conroe. The shop's current downtown Conroe location will remain open until Dec. 24, Jason said in a previous interview.
