Ahead of its 25-year anniversary, benjy's is reopening Oct. 10 after an extensive update to its menu as well as its interior design at 2424 Dunstan Road, Houston. “After so many years in the same location, I am thrilled to introduce a refreshed benjy’s to Houston where people will want to come and hang out,” owner Benjy Levit said in a news release. “Everything aside from our name and location will be completely transformed.” The revamped menu is divided into small, medium and large. “Small” includes items such as smoked trout roe and crudité. “Medium” includes charred broccoli with lemon ricotta, horseradish, a sea urchin carbonara and a lamb Bolognese with mint pappardelle pasta, while “Large” features smoked bone broth with Blood Bros BBQ dumplings, oven roasted fish, and pork belly lettuce cups. Even the sharable "social food" menu and cocktail lineup has been refreshed, along with the dessert menu. Loyal fans will note that benjy's Mom’s Chocolate Cake is still there. 713-522-7602.
