Texas Drones Pros, a first-person-view drone racing store, plans to open Nov. 29 at 4723 FM 2920, Ste. 9, Spring.

In addition to supplying drones and supporting devices, the shop will also offer in-store troubleshooting and repair services. Store owners Rick Tucker and Neill Whitely previously managed an online drone manufacturing company and found there was enough demand to open a brick-and-mortar store.

First-person-view drones are controlled with a handheld controller, and users are able to see the drone’s flying activity through supporting goggles. The drones are usually used for drone racing, an activity that has warranted its own professional Drone Racing League and airs on sports networks such as NBC Sports.
