Contender eSports announces opening date for Spring Cypress Road center

Husband and wife Adam and Erin Berger will celebrate the grand opening of Contender eSports on Oct. 26 at 9702 Spring Cypress Road, Ste. 114, Spring. The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature raffles, local vendors and an on-site Monster Energy truck. The event will also feature a cosplay costume contest, and the winner will receive a Nintendo Switch as a prize, Erin Berger said.

The gaming center will offer 34 PC's, 16 Xboxes and eight Nintendo Switch consoles available for gaming, tournaments and lock-ins. Contender eSports will also feature a private room to host birthday parties and team-building events.

Some of the games that will be played at Contender eSports include Fortnite, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros., Call of Duty and FIFA. The gaming center will offer hourly and daily pricing options as well as a monthly membership program. 713-857-0852.
