Melanie Elam opened Mix Desserts on Aug. 18 in Old Town Spring, located at 302 Gentry Street, Spring. The bakery offers cakes, cookies and a variety of other desserts, with fudge brownies and banana pudding being the shop’s top sellers, Elam said.
As a wedding planner/coordinator, Elam said she has been making cakes since 2010 and has also partnered with other vendors in the area, so they are a one-stop-shop for special events.
“We make custom orders and pride ourselves on making the cakes look even better than the original picture provided,” Elam said. “We also offer custom cake and cupcake toppers as well as matching t-shirts made-to-order to fit the theme, such as first birthdays and other special events.” 832-605-3424. www.mixdesserts.com
