Learning center Mathnasium prepares to open facility in Valley Ranch Town Center this June

Mathnasium will open a location June 1 at 11971 N. Grand Parkway E., Ste. 300, New Caney, in the Valley Ranch Town Center. Center Director Samir Bansikar said the math-only learning center has specially trained math instructors available to assist students in second to 12th grades who are either struggling in math or advanced in math. The district’s budget includes a 3% average raise for all employees, a $1,400 retention stipend added to base pay for teachers, a $1,000 stipend for other staff and raises the minimum hourly wage for full-time auxiliary staff members to $11.50. The district is also bumping its starting teacher salary from $56,700 to $59,000 annually.
