After a six-week renovation, franchise owner Quart Graves is reopening the original Greatwood Chick-fil-A restaurant at 20010 Hwy. 59, Sugar Land, on May 9.

The 15-year-old restaurant will open with the chain's newest design that includes 4,500 square feet; larger tables; a custom light fixture made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles; a two-story interactive indoor play area for children; free Wi-Fi; and two-lane, face-to-face drive-thru ordering.

Grand opening day events will include a Holstein cow, a red carpet and a photo opportunity area. Anyone who places a mobile order May 9 will receive a free chocolate chip cookie sent to their app, according to the company. During the week of May 13-18, free treats will be sent out daily, valid for that day only.
