Chef Monica Fallone and Luis Mancera are unveiling Mina Ristorante, a new concept for their former space of Borgo Food Station at 3641 W. Alabama St., Houston. The restaurant opened on April 8 with counter lunch service and full dinner service. The lunch crowd can choose from roasted vegetables, antipasto, lasagna Bolognese, rotating chicken dishes, fresh fish and Italian sandwiches. The from-scratch dinner menu will offer entrees such as the salmon steak, chicken marsala as well as fresh pastas, with influences from Fallone's Italian heritage. “I have always created spaces where I can present my Italian family’s traditional recipes to friends and restaurant-goers that love to eat. Each dish tells a story, a heartwarming anecdote and a special historical mention,” Fallone said in a news release. 832-940-2126.
