Todd Hayden, owner of Hop Scholar Ale House opened
Sabbatical in late October at 610 Rayford Road, Ste. 642, Spring. Located directly adjacent to Hop Scholar Ale House, Hayden said the new bar is an extension of his original venture and boasts a variety of high quality whiskeys, tequilas, rum and other liquor, which can be served straight up or in handcrafted cocktails.
“We started Hop Scholar [Ale House] because we wanted a place with great beer that you didn’t have to drive into Houston for,” Hayden said. “That’s the same reason we opened Sabbatical—a place for great liquor that's close to home.”
Hayden said Sabbatical also shares a kitchen with Hop Scholar Ale House and offers a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, loaded fries and specialty hotdogs.
