CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County will celebrate its 25th anniversary, at 412 W. Phillips Street, Ste. 107, Conroe, Nov. 4.
The nonprofit was first formed in 1992 and is the only court-appointed organization advocating for abused and neglected children in the county.
CASA child advocates are appointed by judges to watch over abused and neglected children to ensure they do not get lost in the social services system and stay with each case until the child is placed in a safe, permanent home, according to the organization.
The organization began with eight volunteers serving 28 children, and has grown to include 261 volunteers serving 649 children.
CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County is partnering with Hubbell & Hudson Kitchen to celebrate its anniversary during Hubbell & Hudson’s Craft Beer and BBQ Festival Nov. 4. The event will feature craft beer from five different breweries paired with barbecue favorites such as pork spare ribs, sausage, brisket and beef ribs.
Attendees will receive a commemorative take-home glass from the event and can also purchase one of CASA's signature aprons with 100% of proceeds going to CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County.
