Fort Bend Christian Academy’s Visual Arts Pavilion opened in February on the academy’s north campus.

The 7,000-square-foot structure is a multipurpose space for art, sculpture, jewelry making and industrial design. It will also be used for showcasing the arts on campus and for collaborations between school, university and community artists, lectures and symposiums. It will provide space for a robotics club while drama students will also build performance sets and backdrops at the pavilion.

Fort Bend Christian Academy’s elementary- and middle-school students will also be able to have art instruction in the pavilion, the school said. 1250 Seventh St., Sugar Land. 281-263-9175. www.fortbendchristian.org
