Apex Centre, 3003 Alma Road, McKinney, will open February. The $36 million aquatics and fitness center in Gabe Nesbitt Community Park will include a 25-yard-by- 25-meter pool for competitive and lap swimming, a leisure pool, and an outdoor leisure and recreation pool.

The Apex Centre will also include a fitness facility, weight-training equipment, sports courts, an elevated track and babysitting facilities as well as multipurpose rooms that will be open to the public. 972-547-2739. www.apexcentre.org
