In early September, the Odysseus North Texas Chamber Orchestra announced it is changing its name, and will now be known as the McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra moved from Denton to McKinney in 2014 to serve the community through music and consists of professional classical musicians from the area. The orchestra performs at two locations: the McKinney Performing Arts Center at 111 N. Tennessee St., McKinney, and the Church Street Auditorium at 306 N. Church St., McKinney.
