The Goddard School opened Aug. 5 at 1801 Ridge Road, McKinney. The play-based learning center serves children ages 6 weeks-6 years. The school also offers summer camps and an after-school program for students attending Elliott, McClure, Wilmeth, Minshew, Glen Oaks and Baker elementary schools. The Goddard School will host its grand opening Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. The celebration will include a $5,000 community giveaway split between five families and five local nonprofits.
