Costco will open July 25 at 3650 W. University Drive, McKinney, according to a statement released by the company.
“We are thrilled to be bringing Costco’s low warehouse prices to the residents of McKinney,” Warehouse Manager Matt Walker said in the statement. “They have been asking us to open here for a long time, and we already have made an impact on the local job market. We look forward to contributing to the community in many ways.”
The building will be approximately 152,000 square feet with more than 700 parking spaces and a members-only fuel station. This location will also include a variety of departments including a bakery, deli, pharmacy, hearing aid center, food court, tire center and beer and wine.
Costco officials said the McKinney store would be slightly larger in size and will offer more items than its Frisco location. The membership wholesaler has stores throughout the area, including both in Plano and Frisco.
