Renovations at the Bessie Mitchell House will finish this year.
The Bessie Mitchell House at 411 Ball St., Grapevine, is undergoing a complete remodel. The renovations will bring the facility up to accessibility standards, and provide dedicated restrooms for park and garden users as well as additional restrooms for facility renters. The facade of the building will have an updated appearance, and the main entrance will shift to face the parking lot. This creates easier access, said Amanda Rodriguez, the marketing manager for the Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department. The interior of the building will be reconstructed for a more open-concept layout for events, family gatherings or large corporation meetings with a fully functioning kitchen and upgraded room furnishings. The remodel is expected to be completed this spring. 817-410-3470. www.gograpevine.com/bessie-mitchell-house
