Dunkin’ Donuts will effectively change its name to Dunkin’ with newly designed packaging, advertising and other rebranding efforts taking place beginning January 2019, according to a news release. The company is placing emphasis on beverages but will continue to offer donuts at its locations. Other company-led initiatives include a simplified menu and a greater push for On-the-Go mobile ordering.

“By simplifying and modernizing our name, while still paying homage to our heritage, we have an opportunity to create an incredible new energy for Dunkin’, both in and outside our stores,” said Tony Weisman, chief marketing officer of Dunkin’ U.S., in the news release.

Two Dunkin’ locations can be found in McKinney:

  • 116 S. Custer Road, McKinney

  • 3201 W. Eldorado Parkway
