Compassionate Cultivation now offering medical cannabis to cancer patients

Note: This post was corrected Sept. 13, 2019 to reflect that all patients with prescriptions may access the new product, not only patients with terminal cancer.

Compassionate Cultivation, one of three Texas dispensaries licensed to sell medical-grade cannabis under Texas’ Compassionate Use Act, has expanded its products to offer a tincture with a ratio of 3-1 CBD to THC. According to an Aug. 29 press release from the company, the first patient to receive the new tincture was Charlotte Friedley, a patient with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

This tincture represents the highest-THC formulation that Compassionate Cultivation has issued to date, compared to the 3-1 THC to CBD formulation previously offered exclusively to patients with intractable epilepsy. The new formula follows the Texas Legislature’s updated guidelines for legal sales of medical cannabis to patients with a wider range of conditions, including multiple sclerosis, autism and terminal cancer.

Compassionate Cultivation is located at 12701 Lowden Lane, Manchaca. 512-614-0343. www.texasoriginalcc.com
