Ladybird Montessori School, located at 2050 Cole Springs Road, Buda, will celebrate five years of educating children Nov. 11, according to co-owner Nicole Foster. The school was founded in 2013 on 2.6 acres of land, serving toddlers and young children; it added an infant program in 2014. Ladybird Montessori recently purchased an adjacent 12 acres and is building a new 5,000-square-foot school, a mini-farm with goats and chickens, a co-op garden and a rainwater collection system that will be completed by Labor Day 2019.

In August, Foster opened the school to grades 1-3, and by 2020, it will serve grades 1-6.
