San Marcos CISD will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. on Aug. 21 at 1481 Esplanade Pkwy. to celebrate the opening of Rodriguez Elementary School. Construction on the new campus, which will be the seventh elementary school in the district, is scheduled to finish Aug. 9, according to district documents.
