Starting Nov. 1 the city of Buda’s Seniors Taking a Ride, or STAR program, began operating on Thursdays in addition to its Monday, Wednesday and Friday service. The STAR bus was purchased with federal funds and includes a wheelchair lift. Seniors aged 60 and older can travel with STAR for free to places in San Marcos, Buda and Kyle, such as grocery stores, banks and medical appointments.
