Namarupa Yoga, 314 N. LBJ Drive, San Marcos, will host a grand opening party tonight beginning at 8 p.m. The party will feature live music, dancing, yoga and cocktails made with Busy Bee Yerba Mate.
The studio, which has capacity for 70 students, will hold its first class at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Namarupa Yoga offers classes in vinyasa, align and gentle yoga.
Co-owner Jason Lobo described the align classes as similar to Hatha yoga. The gentle classes are therapeutic, he said.
The studio is co-owned by Lobo, his wife Taylor and Cindy and David von Miller.
Classes are available on a donation basis, Jason said. The suggested donation for a class is $10-$15, but he said attendees can pay what they can. As a summer promotion, the studio is offering 10 classes for $75. Lobo said during the fall semester the studio will offer special rates for students.
