Current and former San Marcos city officials gathered to dedicate a new mural by Washington artist Jake Wagoner on July 2. The mural is located on the retaining wall on Sessom Drive, near the North LBJ Drive intersection. Titled “Life in Color,” the mural is meant to show the wildlife of the Edwards Aquifer and to encourage environmental stewardship. “This mural is an amazing piece of art that beautifies our community and frees city resources for work on other issues,” Community Enhancement Initiatives Manager Amy Kirwin said in a statement. 512-393-8000.
