Cedar Park Public Library received a 2019 Texas Library Grant from the Texas Book Festival on April 18. The library is one of 41 public libraries across 36 Texas counties to receive a grant, according to an April 18 press release from the Texas Book Festival.

The grants total $100,500 and support libraries’ ability to improve and expand the variety of books they offer.
The grant will help the Cedar Park Public Library continue developing its new collection of world language materials, according to the library’s grant application.

Founded in 1995, the nonprofit Texas Book Festival promotes reading and writing through year-round programming and its annual festival held on the grounds of the Texas Capitol. Each year, proceeds from the festival fund the Texas Library Grants.
