The Lower Colorado River Authority and Pedernales Electric Cooperative plan to present a $16,000 community grant to the Volente Volunteer Fire Department on Jan. 8. Representatives of the entities will award the department with a Community Development Partnership Program grant, which will be used for equipment to clean personal protective equipment, at the fire department at 15406 FM 2769 in Volente.
