Local nonprofit Brady’s Bridge is opening an after-school care program for kids of all abilities, including those with special needs. The space will be located at 1501 CR 269, Leander. The opening date is pending permit approvals to begin remodel and construction, according to the organization’s director, Tabitha Fry. Fry said she is hopeful to open by the end of the year or January.
Brady’s Bridge began as a way to help parents of kids with special needs. In 2016 Fry’s son Brady entered kindergarten, and she said she realized there was not an after-school program that would take him because of the care he required. This encouraged her to expand the nonprofit’s mission and to offer care to kids that do not have other after-school program options.
