Local officials broke ground on Family First Express Care on Sept. 4.

Family First Express Care is scheduled to open in Leander in January. Family First Express Care, a joint venture with Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and Premier Health, will treat patients age 3 months and older. It will provide care to people in need of treatment for minor accidents and illnesses and offer occupational health services to area employers.

Family First Express Care will be staffed by clinicians specializing in urgent care procedures. Its staff will use advanced technologies, such as digital x-rays and an electronic medical records system.

A groundbreaking event for the facility took place Sept. 4, with the Leander and Cedar Park chambers of commerce present. The facility will be located at 1295 US 183, Ste. A, Leander.
