Jeff Hayes, Leander Police Department assistant chief, compiled a 204-page hardcover visual history book about the department that was published Jan. 3. “Retrospectus: A Photographic History of the Leander Police Department” commemorates the department’s 40th anniversary with hundreds of photos and may be purchased online at www.lulu.com. The book is priced to the cost of printing, and no profit will be gained from the production.
