Austin Shoe Hospital to open in Four Points area

Austin Shoe Hospital is set to open a new location in the Four Points area at 6812 N. RM 620. Carroll Kelly, president and CEO of Austin Shoe Hospital, confirmed the chain’s eleventh location in the Austin area will open either Dec. 18 or 19, but is not sure of which date yet. The Austin-based shoe repair store already has two locations in the Lake Travis-Westlake area on S. RM 620 in Lakeway and Bee Caves Road. "I have been in the business since 1983 and am the one who brought our Houston Shoe Hospital multi-location concept to the Austin area,” Kelly said in an email. “Our company in Houston exploded during the Great Depression, when everyone had to repair the few pairs of shoes they owned because no one could buy new.” Kelly added he has always desired a location in the Four Points area, but could never decide on a location until now. Phone number to come. www.austinshoehospital.com
