Neapolitan-style pizzeria 40 North opened its first brick-and-mortar location Friday at 900 W. 10th St., Austin.

Owner Clint Elmore opened the 40 North trailer three and a half years ago in Austin after leaving his law job in New York City, flying to Naples, Italy and laerning everything he could about making pizza.

The new location will feature thin-crust pizzas, sandwiches, small plates and a selection of local beers in a 1,500-square-foot space, which seats 44.

Elmore will move 40 North exclusively to the brick-and-mortar operation, but the trailer will be displayed on the patio at the new location.

"The overall vibe and menu will feel very familiar to fans of the trailer, but I'm excited to branch out and expand the menu a bit. We’re laid back, welcoming, a little rough around the edges," Elmore said.

40 North is open Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. 512-660-5779. www.40northpizza.com
