On Sept. 18, the Kyle City Council approved conditional-use permits that will allow developer Sterling Babcock & Brown to construct two hotels that will exceed the maximum height of 45 feet allowed by the current zoning; both will be located on a 3.69-acre site next to the EVO Entertainment complex along I-35.

The first hotel will be a four-story, 63,300-square-foot Marriott SpringHill Suites with 93 rooms. The second will be a 58,400-square-foot, four-story, 100-room Marriott TownePlace Suites.
