Porter Ale House & Gastropub, which served burgers, beer and other classic pub food at 3715 S. First St., Ste. A, Austin, closed July 27. Co-owners Neil Joiner, Joe Bixel and Trevor Lane
opened the restaurant in 2014. The owners posted the closure announcement
on Facebook, adding they have "other projects in the works." Joiner recently opened
The Black Forest, a food trailer serving authentic German food in front of Live Oak Brewing Company, 1615 Crozier Lane, Del Valle.
