Local music school Orpheus Academy of Music, located at 3918 Far West Blvd., Ste. C, Austin, celebrated its 15th anniversary Aug. 21.

Recently, its students staged a celebratory performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Director Klondike Steadman said in a June 12 news release, “The excitement to participate in this trip was so high that some students actually slept outside the school, waiting in line to ensure that they got a spot.”
