The Clarksville Community Development Corp. celebrated its 40th anniversary in October.

Founded in 1978 in response to the gentrification of Clarksville and the construction of MoPac, the corporation works to provide and protect affordable housing in the neighborhood.

It meets monthly at 1703 Waterston Ave., Austin.
