The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has completed construction of a meetinghouse to serve the Leander, Cedar Park and Georgetown areas. The building was dedicated Aug. 11 by Chris Woodfield, the president of the Round Rock Stake, which covers nine congregations in the Round Rock and North Austin area, according to an Aug. 16 press release.

Located at 17744 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Leander, the meetinghouse invites people to worship during Sunday services at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. The church building is 16,650 square feet and has a chapel that seats 300 people. Additionally, it has a large hall for sports and cultural arts activities, 20 classrooms and six offices.

An open house will take place Sept. 14 from 12-6 p.m. featuring tours and activities. The event is open to people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds, according to the release.
