An independent bookstore is coming to Leander.

Patchouli Joe's Books & Indulgences plans to open Aug. 31. The bookstore, located at 106 W. Willis St., Ste. B, will sell a combination of new and used books including nonfiction and children's books. Coffee, soaps and candles will also be sold at the store.

The bookstore's opening weekend will include drawings and giveaways. Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Mondays.
