The Austin Community College San Gabriel campus in Leander received a 2018 Excellence in Construction award from the Associated Builders and Contractors.

The campus, located at 449 San Gabriel Campus Drive, Leander, was recognized in the $25 million to $100 million project category and was one of 92 nationwide projects awarded, according to a May 29 release from ACC.

The association awards contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects, according to the release. The 100-acre Leander campus includes a rooftop terrace, classrooms, science labs, a library, a multipurpose room and a 150-seat learning lab.

The campus also received the Best of the Best Award from the national association and a 2018 Excellence in Construction Award from the Central Texas Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.
