In celebration if its 30-year anniversary, after-school art program Young Rembrandts ATX has partnered with schools in South Austin to collect lightly used art supplies to donate to Austin Creative Reuse, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting conservation and reuse by collecting, districting and selling reusable arts and craft supplies.

Schools involved in the partnership include Baranoff, Boone, Clayton, Kiker and Mills elementary schools. During a selection of classes held in January, students will decorate brown paper bags to fill with art supplies, such as colored pencils, crayons, markers and sketch paper. The "It's in the Bag" event is part of a six-month effort during which Young Rembrandts ATX will give back to the community through a series of local partnerships and outreach programs.
