A local candy shop in downtown San Marcos is closing its doors Friday after two years in business.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, the owners of Candy, Sweets & Treats, located at 241 N. LBJ Drive, San Marcos, announced its closure.

"Thank you San Marcos for all the support over the last 2-plus years. In order to focus on other ventures, Candy Sweets and Treats will be closing its doors by the end of the year," the post said.

The local business sold nostalgic and foreign candy, fudge, old-fashioned sodas, gourmet popcorn, gift baskets, goody bags, party favors and novelty items. www.candysweettreats.com
