Nonprofit Code2College offers STEM-focused classes at two Austin locations

Code2College, a nonprofit focused on increasing the number of underrepresented students who enter STEM degree programs and fields, is holding classes twice a week throughout the school year at Akins High School, 10701 S. First St., Austin, and the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, 2206 Prather Lane, Austin.

The program provides coding education and experience along with STEM industry exposure through after-school training sessions, technical portfolio development, internships and workshops. Enrollment will reopen for students at each school site in August 2017. 512-790-2633. www.code2college.org
