The owners of The Rock Sports Bar will open The Alcove Cantina at 119 E. Main St., Round Rock, in early August. The restaurant and live music venue will feature a large outdoor patio, three bars and Mexican-inspired cuisine. The venue's name is a callback to one of the former names of the building, which likely functioned as a pub before the Prohibition era, co-owner Erik Hall said. www.alcovecantina.com
