Traffic changes are expected to take place in Coppell as the South Belt Line reconstruction project continues.
The project’s contractor is on schedule to make a traffic switch starting Oct. 31, Director of Public Works Kent Collins said during an Oct. 25 presentation. Traffic will be flipped to the southbound lanes so construction crews can begin work on the northbound lanes.
Messages will be hand-delivered to businesses affected by the construction, and project updates will continue to be provided on the city’s website.
“There will be a lot of communication,” Collins said. “We’ll try to make that go as smoothly as possible, understanding that it is a chaotic switch.”
