The Leander ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the hirings of a chief financial officer for LISD and a principal for Reagan Elementary School at its Oct. 3 workshop meeting.
Marianne Norman, currently an assistant principal at Canyon Ridge Middle School, was hired as principal for Reagan in Cedar Park, while Elaine Cogburn was selected as the new CFO.
Norman replaces Steve Crawford—a 21-year employee of Leander ISD—who, in a July 18 press release, was named the principal of Four Points Middle School by former Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell.
Prior to her time at Canyon Ridge, Norman worked at Parkside as an assistant principal from 2017–2019, according to an Oct. 3 LISD press release. She began her education career in 2009 teaching at Parkside.

Cogburn takes over for Lucas Janda, who left LISD in September to take a job with a private financial firm, according to LISD spokesperson Corey Ryan. Ellen Skoviera has been serving as the interim CFO.
Cogburn will be joining Leander ISD starting Nov. 4, according to an LISD press release.
Cogburn comes from Plano ISD, where she served as executive director for financial services, and brings with her some 23 years of experience in education. Before working at PISD, she was the assistant superintendent for finance and operations at Dripping Springs ISD.
During Cogburn’s time at DSISD, she worked under Dr. Bruce Gearing, who left DSISD in August to become the new LISD superintendent.
