Bee Cave Parkway repaving to begin July 19

The repaving of Bee Cave Parkway will begin on July 19, according to the city of Bee Cave.

The overview

The city is conducting the maintenance work on Bee Cave Parkway, between RM 620 and Hwy. 71. The project includes replacing guardrails near Guidepost Montessori at Bee Cave, followed by mill and overlay work along the roadway.

The road maintenance is expected to take place in the evenings, from 7 p.m.-6 a.m., and last approximately 4-6 weeks. Residents can expect lane closures and construction noise as part of the project.

The rehab work is meant to extend the life of the road for another 10-15 years, according to the city’s announcement. The mill and overlay process included grinding down the top 1-2 inches of the road and replacing it with new asphalt.
