Taylor Morrison building 55-acre site near Quinlan Park road
Builder Taylor Morrison broke ground the week of April 14 on a 55-acre residential development off Quinlan Park and Selma Hughes roads in the back of Steiner Ranch, said Adib Khoury, Taylor Morrison vice president of land resources.
In 2013 the original 211-acre tract was subdivided into three parcels including the Taylor Morrison portion and a 41-acre section retained by the owners that is now being sold to individual buyers as a custom home subdivision.
Taylor Morrison's development is inland but near the Lake Austin waterfront and will have two entrances—on Selma Hughes Road and Quinlan Park Road, Khoury said. Home sales for its 84 lots will begin around November, and the architecture of the gated community will be similar to the style of the homes within the University of Texas Golf Club community, he said.
Although the development tract is not located within the Steiner Ranch Master Association, Khoury said the project will be annexed into the association allowing future residents to access the association's amenities—pools, nature trails and clubhouses.
