A preliminary plan that includes 10 new residential lots, one drainage reserve lot and a new street called Taranga Drive was approved unanimously during Lakeway’s Dec. 19 city council meeting.
The project is a 5.59-acre development being built by Houston-based general contractor RobRyan Custom Builders and is located at 507 Rupen Drive, Lakeway, according to city documents.
“It [the undeveloped land] has no critical environmental features on the property,” said Director of Building and Development Services Erin Carr.
In a letter submitted to the city, Ryan Harris, president of RobRyan Construction, said the land will stay zoned in its R1 or Residential 1 zoning district. According to the Lakeway City website, a R1 zoning district is restricted for detached single-family residential dwelling units.
