Lakeway City Council to host in-person meeting Sept. 21

Lakeway City Council plans to meet in person Sept. 21 for the first time since March, when the spread of COVID-19 prompted meeting restrictions.

Those attending the meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road in Lakeway, will be required to wear a "proper" mask or face covering while inside, according to the meeting agenda.

City spokesperson Jarrod Wise said the two public hearings—for the proposed fiscal year 2020-21 budget and the proposed tax rate—prompted the decision to host an in-person meeting.

Social distancing protocols will be enforced, according to the agenda.

Citizens may comment in person during one or both public hearings. There will be no virtual comment period, but citizens may send comments that will be sent to council. Those who plan to speak are asked to register through an online submission form.
