Bee Cave Development Corporation fills vacant position, amends bylaws

The details

Bee Cave City Council approved two changes to the BCDC's bylaws.

The first change will allow administrative functions, such as posting meeting minutes, to be completed by the Bee Cave Development Corporation secretary or city staff.

The second change will amend the term dates for those on the development board. Previously, terms started on the fourth Tuesday of September, yet this would create gaps between terms, Chelsey Jimenez, economic development planning coordinator said

The new amendment will have all terms be from October 1-September 30.

“These changes are meant to prevent any overlap and gaps between term dates,” Jimenez said.

Something to note

Council also appointed a new director to the development board after position 4 director and former city manager Travis Askey resigned.

Council appointed Robert Aird, former Lake Travis School Board trustee.
