The city of Bee Cave has canceled the city’s Nature Fest on April 15 due to a lawsuit that involves the Brown Property, according to a statement made on the city’s Facebook page.
The Brown Property is a 44-acre parcel of land off Great Divide Trail near SH 71. The festival April 15 would have been at the property’s future nature center and would have included free food, educational programming and live music.
Bee Cave City Council held a special meeting April 4 to discuss the lawsuit, Citizens for the Preservation of the Brown Property v. City of Bee Cave.
The meeting took place in executive session and was adjourned without any discussion in public session as no action was taken in executive session.
